Comments:A component of a silicious xenolith composed mainly of quartz, a little sanidine and a few isolated garnet crystals (presumably almandine). The xenolith had been found 2 years earlier by G. Möhn. J. Lorenz from Karlstein am Main identified the andalusite conclusively by XRD.
Habit:stalky (prismatic after [001]), usually fragmented, crystal planes barely visible
Colour:transparent light yellow with a weak greenish tinge
