Comments:One specimen only - the same specimen of Cardigan Gneiss from west of the Gibson Arroyo fault that contained the topaz.

Pleochroic: a (rose pink) = 1.640, ß (colorless) = 1.645, y (colorless) = 1.648, with birefringence 0.008, parallel extinction, large 2V, prismatic cleavage.

Colour:Pale pink
