Parisite from
Shuangwang Au deposit, Taibai Co., Baoji Prefecture, Shaanxi Province, China

Locality type:Deposit
Species:'Parisite' (not an IMA approved species)
Comments:Chinese papers on this deposit report either synchysite or parisite, but never both, if they provide a list of minerals at all (e.g. Mao et al., 2002; Zhang et al., 2004; Hu, 2009 - see list of references). The Chinese name of synchysite is frequently mis-translated as parisite (as seen e.g. in several on-line dictionaries). This makes the report of both species questionable until analytical data can be found that confirm one or the other.
