Comments:Occurs in many ways - as individual scattered euhedral crystals, as parallel or radiating aggregates, which can grade into fibrous crystals, and as etched pseudomorphs after diopside. Crystals can reach 5 cm and aggregates can be a couple of dm.
Habit:euhedral to subhedral blades, brittle fibers
Colour:white, pale gray, pale green
Luminescent properties:blue-white
Quality for species:Good crystals or rich for species - important (!)
