Anatase from
Tormiq valley (Tormic; Tormik; Tormig; Turmiq), Haramosh Mts., Skardu District, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan

Locality type:Valley
Comments:New find, dating from October/November 2009. First occurence ever found in Tormiq valley (if not whole Northern Areas). Crystals are translucent to transparent with a firey orange/red color. Found associated with ilmenite and gem albite crystals.
Colour:orange to red
Quality for species:Good crystals or rich for species - important (!)
Abundance at site:Very Rare
Confirmation Methods:Visually Identified
References:In early 2010, Aymeric Longi bought specimen bearing anatase crystals, associated with ilmemite & gem albite crystals.
