Columbite-(Fe)-Columbite-(Mn) Series from
Columbite locality (Nameaug; Nautneauge; Naumeag; Naumeaug), New London, New London County, Connecticut, USA

Classification
Species:'Columbite-(Fe)-Columbite-(Mn) Series' (not an IMA approved species)
Comments:The occurence of columbite in this town is highly unlikely based on modern knowledge of its distribution in the state. It is far more likely to have come from the Middletown pegmatite district (Middletown, Portland, East Hampton, Haddam, Glastonbury), which does not extent into New London or even New London county.
