A huge opencast work on a tin stockworks on Mulberry Hill, currently up to 100ft deep and 700ft long, which can be descended at the SE end with care. The ore is in minute cracks less than a foot apart and yielded 6lb of black tin per ton.

The mill was in the valley 1/4 mile to the west with a blocked shallow adit and deep adit which connected to a tramming level below the opencast floor.

1350 tons black tin in 1859-1916.
