Mineralization is ore in lenses and irregular masses hosted in Modoc Limestone and Morenci Shale. The ore zone is 213.36 meters long, 7.62 meters wide, strikes N45E and dips NW. Ore concentration was mineralization along faults and in fracture zones with some replacement of limestone. The limestone beds trend about N30E and dip 20NW. Surface oxidation exists to unknown depths. Ore control was NE-trending, steeply dipping faults cutting limestone beds. The ore occurs within a fault zone in erratically distributed lenses and irregular masses.
The best ore was found in the NE half of the deposit where the mineralized areas ranged from 2 to 6 feet in width and from a few feet to tens of feet in length.
Area structures include limestone beds that occupy the eastern end of a comparitively narrow belt of Carboniferous rocks that extends westward for seeral miles. Narrow belts of Carboniferous limestone surrounded by Tertiary volcanic flows.
Tectonic component is the transition between the Basin and Range and Colorado Plateau Provinces.
Workings total 213.36 meters in length and 4.57 meters deep and consist of shallow adit, bulldozer stripping and trenching.
