Skarn-type zinc-lead-silver deposits within an area of about 60 square kilometers, comprising several ore zones. Ore bodies occur in the contact zone between Yanshanian (170-177.4 Ma) quartz monzodiorite intrusives and Middle Proterozoic dolomitic marble of the Gaoyuzhuang Formation, as well as along NW- and NS-trending fault systems in carbonate wall rocks. There is a pronounced zoning of the metasomatic mineralization within the deposit, from the intrusive contact zone outward to dolomitic marble along the NW-trending fault system, with three ore-bearing magnesian and manganoan skarn zones being distinguished. There are > 20 gold orebodies in 9 ore zones in the ore district. The orebodies occur as auriferous quartz veins, which are 50–320 m long, 0.15–1.71 m thick, 30–320 m deep, strike 50°–60° and dip 70°–80°SE, and have a mean gold grade of 9.1–36.5 g/t.
