Ref.: New York State Museum Bull. 223,224, Newland, David H. (July-August 1919), The Mineral Resources of the State of New York: 83. A garmet (abrasives) mine located on the shoulder of Casey Mountain, about 5 miles NW of North River (Warren Co.), just North of Indian Lake Road. Host rock is hornblende gneiss with a 40 foot wide by 2,000 foot long outcrop. Owned by the American Glue Co.
