A magnesite-pegmatite occurrence/mine located in the NWΒΌ sec. 31, T5S, R1W, SBM, 5.4 km (3.3 miles) ESE of Winchester and 7.8 km (4.8 miles) SW of Hemet, on private (patented) land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

NOTE: USGS MRDS database file #10064424 presents geographic coordinates (33.69643, -116.92169) that place this locality in the wrong sec. 31 (T5S, R1E).

Mineralization is a vein magnesite deposit and pegmatite hosted in serpentinite. The deposit occurs in a stockwork of veins in a belt of serpentinite 200 to 400 feet wide intrusive into micaceous gneiss and schist. Associated rocks include schist and gneiss. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks , unit 2 (Peninsular Ranges) and/or Jurassic marine rocks, unit 4 (Peninsular Ranges and Western Transverse Ranges).

Workings include surface openings with a length of 76.2 meters, an overall depth of 73.15 meters and overall width of 21.34 meters.
