Numerous granite and pegmatite dykes cut through the local metasedimentary rocks (mostly gneisses and amphibolites). Most of the pegmatites are simple granite pegmatites, mostly devoid of interesting minerals, but I found small phenocrystals of albite var. Sunstone in three places. Unfortunately, the sunstone is usually heavily fractured, and phenocrystals are generally too small to be cut. It is often very gemmy though.
