Plumbago North is a new prospect pit in an LCT pegmatite most likely of the spodumene-albite subtype. The pegmatite strikes NW. The pegmatite hosts some of the world's largest spodumene crystals (up to 11 m) as well as huge (>3 m) montebrasite crystals. Exploration work is on-going (fall 2017).
The upper portions of the pegmatite contain up to 50 wt% spodumene (Simmons et al., 2020).

Located about 1.5 km northwest of the famous Dunton gem tourmaline pegmatite.
