A former small underground Cu-Ag mine/claim located in sec. 25, T18S, R15E, about 28 miles SE of Tucson, at an elevation of 5,660 feet on the east side of the crest of the range, just south of Weigle Butte. Owned by the Rosemont Copper Co.

Mineralization is a deposit in altered, sheared, and mineralized quartzite that runs at the same strike as the adit tunnel. At 118 feet in the adit, an east-west fault that dips south is marked by much silicification of crushed granite and quartzite which carries secondary copper minerals incuding carbonates in a somewhat banded structure due to movement. The ore body is 15.24 meters long and 30.48 meters wide. Host rock units are the Willow Canyon Formation of Cretaceous conglomerate and siltstone. An associated rock unit is quartz diorite. Ore control was the shear zone due to fault and intrusive contact; and the intersections of cross faults. Alteration is pyrite-chalcopyrite-gossan.

Local structures include thrust and normal faulting, fracture zones, homoclinal. Regional trends include tilting and broad open folds in the south and extensive faulting in the north.

Workings include a tunnel running N.17ºW., several hundred feet long and an open cut plus a winze. Production occurred during the late 1800'S to early 1900'S.
