Suevite and impact breccias with heavily shocked biotite-plagioclase and amphibolite fragments, glass bombs.
Shock pressure : 16-20 GPa.
Rutile is associated with two other TiO2 polymorphs :
- TiO2 (alpha-PbO2 structure) (TiO2 II)
- TiO2 (Baddeleyite structure P21/c) (IMA2007-058)

Located east of Wemding and about 30 km ENE of Nördlingen.

Detailed Mineral List:

Akaogiite (TL)
Formula: TiO2
Type Locality:
Coesite
Formula: SiO2
Diamond
Formula: C
Colour: Grey, dark green, yellowish.
Description: Impact diamonds in glass bombs and gneiss elemnts of the suevite. Diamonds appear as thin pseudo-hexagonal plates (up to 100 µm) : they have formed by displacive phase transformation in solid state (martensitic or diffusion process) from graphite.
Graphite
Formula: C
Description: Residual in diamonds.
Ilmenite
Formula: Fe2+TiO3
Rutile
Formula: TiO2
Description: Rutile is associated with two other TiO2 polymorphs : - TiO2 (alpha-PbO2 structure) with pink internal reflections - TiO2 (Baddeleyite structure P21/c) with intense blue internal reflections and reflectivity much higher than rutile TiO2 with ZrO2 structure forms fine-grained polycrystalline monophase grains surrounded by shock-twinned ilmenite and rutile, or single grains rimmed by rutile, alpha-PbO2 TiO2, ilmenite and titanite.
Stishovite
Formula: SiO2
Titanite
Formula: CaTi(SiO4)O
