Midnight Mine; Boyd lease
A large uranium mine located four miles NW of Wellpinit. It produced ore from 1954 to 1982.
The deposit consists of uranium mineralization in stockwork veins and shear zones up to several hundred feet in length and 30' in width. The ore was near the contact of the Cretaceous Midnite Mine pluton and Proterozoic Togo argillite. It was oxidized to within around 150' of the surface, with ore below consisting of uraninite and pyrite.
