A former lode Au occurrence/mine located near the center S½ sec. 4, T10N, R10E, MDM, 1.0 km (0.6 mile) WNW of Cold Springs, on the N side of the golf course (3½ miles NW of Placerville). The property comprises 20.65 acres. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
