A former Mn occurrence/mine located in the S½ sec. 20, T14N, R8E, MDM, 1.8 km (1.1 miles) WNW of Higgins Corner, on the divide between Wolf Creek on the E and Meyers Ravine on the W. The property comprises 160 acres, on state forest land. Owned/operated by C. E. Loofbourrow and R. M. Wren. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. Located 12 miles N of Auburn and about 1 mile SE of the Mangachrome Mine.

The ore body is 3.05 meters thick and 4.27 meters long and with a depth-to-bottom 6.1 meters. The ore bed is 14 feet long, 10 feet thick and was exposed to a depth of 20 feet. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include underground openings comprised of a 20 foot inclined shaft (flooded in August, 1942).

Ten tons of ore were mined up to November, 1917, and was reported to assay 50 to 60% metallic Mn and 6% silica. The average grade of the ore is 25% Mn. 35 tons were produced in 1918 containing 35% Mn and 7% silica.
