A former Au-Cu-Pb occurrence/mine located in the NE¼SW¼ and in the SE¼NW¼ (estimated) sec. 3, T12N, R8E, MDM, 2.6 km (1.6 miles) N of Auburn, along Auburn Ravine, on private (patented) land. The property comprises 60 acres. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in serpentinite. The ore body strikes NW and dips 80SW at a thickness of 1.52 meters. The vein is 5 feet thick and carries 7% sulfides. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 94.49 meters and comprised of a shaft.
The ore averaged an estimated $3.50 (period values) per ton.
