Setting:
A group of tourmaline prospects located in the NE4NE4 Sec. 28 T9S R4E SBM, about 7.25 miles northeast of Warner Springs, slightly north of Lost Valley. The area is now located within the Schoepe Scout Reservation.

Geology:
Several pegmatite dikes outcrop along the crest and southeastern slope of a small hill. These dikes are enclosed in granitic rocks, and contain abundant black tourmaline.

History:
The occurrence of black tourmaline here was first noted in 1958. The locality has often been confused in modern mineralogical literature with the Lost Valley Truck Trail prospect (renamed as the Cryo-Genie mine), which is located approximately 5 miles westsouthwest from the Lost Valley Tourmaline prospects.
