How to ContributeChinese Languge Switch

2nd Feb 2015 23:39 UTCDouglas Merson 🌟 Expert

Today I have an unacceptably high number of switches to the Chinese language while navigating the message board. It makes very miserable navigating.

Hi

I have noticed that this has happened a number of times over the last couple of weeks. No apparent reason but I agree it's a little annoying. At least there is a button at the top of the home page to revert to English !!

I just presume it's a little bug that will get sorted in due course.

Then again, maybe its a ploy to make us all learn Chinese !!

Cheers

It happens to me several times in the last days too.

Same here...

What I find baffling is that the language switch allows only to choose between English and Chinese.

Whilst I bet there are very few Chinese speaking Mindat members but lots of German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch ....

Strange !!

Yes, it is a bug in the program. Jolyon has tried to solve it a few times already.

"What I find baffling is that the language switch allows only to choose between English and Chinese." - Some of the text has been translated to chinese, but we are still lacking translations for other languages (some are being worked on).

If you lose a message that you are trying to post (due to the language change, you can often recover it by using the back arrow.
