PhotosPerovskite - Löhley, Üdersdorf, Daun, Eifel, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany

A beautiful picture! And I suppose the brownish-red is the perovskite, the white needles apatite, the white prisms nepheline and the green a clinopyroxene?

Hi Erik,

beside the Nepheline you are right. There may be Nepheline on the picture but not really good visible. The bigger white crystal with rounded edges looks more like Leucite.

Beautiful indeed!

I also took the liberty to add a line with a short description on the accessory minerals in the caption; as we encourage all contributors to do - if possible. :-)
