Hi folks,

I was out on the shore of the St Lawrence river just west of Montreal with my son collecting rocks and I found this in the bucket when we got home.

I thought it was lead slag, but it looks exactly like the picture of Arsenic in my Smithsonian book.

It’s non magnetic, about 2 inches across.

Dull grey color.

Feels as heavy as lead.

Any help is appreciated.

Cheers

Steve

The bubbles are a dead giveaway for a piece of slag.

Not uncommon where foreign ships dump their ballast before entering the Great Lakes.

Thanks.

We found a bunch of weird stuff on that shore.

My wife thinks it’s all industrial waste. Lol.

Check your "arsenic" with magnet. ;-)
