Mineral Exchanges30 piece Torbernite Collection For Trade From 28 Locations

6th Dec 2009 14:21 UTCKeith Williamson

Hi everyone,

Is there anyone here who would like to do a big trade? I have a collection of 30 torbernite specimens from 28 locations. These are thumbnail to very large cabinet size. With a new grand child around my wife wants all the uranium out of the house. I showed her the posts on the safety of this mineral but it’s easier to get rid of the collection than to argue the point. I have around $2000 invested in these minerals, but with the depressed economy I couldn’t even sell them for half their value so I’m looking to do a trade. Here is a link to webshots with pictures of the specimens. Click on the first picture of each specimen for the size and location. I’m trading the whole collection in one lot. I will not piece it out.

I’m looking for something real nice. A specimen or specimens of equal value. And yes I know that with 30 torbernite specimens there is quite a bit of U here. It is up to the trader to know what your country will allow. The box will be large and weigh around 30 pounds.

If interested PM me a description of the specimens you want to trade and pics.

Thanks, Keith

Somehow I have the feeling that that much U in one box is way over the postal regulations limit, no matter if it's going down the block or around the world.

When looking at your images a pop-up/advertisement keeps rearing its ugly head in the center of the screen, making viewing problematic.

Regarding shipping- anywhere USA will be fine. I've shipped hundreds, if not thousands, of U specimens around the planet, many times with dozens of U specimens/parcel.

Beautiful collection Keith, wish I had something to offer for it.

If I'm not mistaken, that was a focus of your collecting.

Out of curiosity, what are you going to collect now?

Patrick, I can send you the pics and a list of the specimens to your email if you want.

Hi Keith.

This morning I was able to look at the images w/o any pop-ups. It is an interesting torbernite assortment, but I'll have to pass. Thanks anyway.
