Damit kannst Du eine PM an ihn schicken!

Glück Auf!

P.S.: Ich hab' gerade gesehen, dass sein letzter Foren-Beitrag älter als ein Jahr ist, möglicherweise ist er nicht mehr aktiv!

Hi Branko,

vielen Dank,

habs mal versucht, vielleicht hilft es ja.

@all

what i need is a good micro photograph of Ellweiler Uranium secondary minerals .. so if anyone has a good picture and is willing to grant me the use for the exhibition, you´re welcome!

Thanks

Roger

Hi Roger,

I’m switching back to English so that everybody can understand.

I’ve had the very same problem that you’ve had contacting someone. It is very cumbersome to search for a forum entry by the person you want to contact only to find the PM link. As a solution I have proposed some changes to the members homepages in the respective forum http://www.mindat.org/mesg-4-218166.html for all to read. You might want to add your 2 cents in that thread and everybody else who has had the same issue. If we can prove that the matter is of widespread interest maybe we can get it higher up in the list of priorities Jolyon has and get a solution sooner rather than later.

If your use of copyrighted material is intended as an educational tool and not for profit, this would likely fall under the Fair Use clause, and thus the holders permission is technically not mandatory. While attempting to contact the holders for permission, I would not hesitate to make responsible use of photography in a limited, not for profit, educational context, in the mean time.

Nate,

as far as i know, in Germany we don´t have this explicit fair use law as in the US. And as i prefer it to know who is using my pictures and how (and want to be asked of course) it is "mandatory" for me to ask the copyright holder - i just feel obliged to do so. Meanwhile Meinrad has left me a message and all is fine! Mindat is a great place!(tu)

Thanks all for assistance and special thanks to Meinrad of course,

cheers

Roger

Fair use seems to be only applicable to US copyright. It does seem to be better to ask first.
