Fakes & FraudsAndara Crystal Scam

Authentic Monatomic Andara Crystal SCAM

Authentic Monatomic Andara Crystals are slag glass (from glass factories). They come from what is considered a garbage dump that has been abandoned. Search Ebay for “slag glass rock chunk” and you will find each and every color of every single “authentic monatomic andara crystal” that exists. A group of “sellers/healers” buy slag glass (knowing it is slag glass), then sell to each other and decide on names for these “crystals”.They break large pieces down to smaller sizes and scam honest people by the gram. They can authenticate it with signatures (from each other). Search both CURRENT and SOLD listings of slag glass rock chunk (even add “lot” to your search) and you will know for a fact that this is a true and horrific fraud in the name of purity and oneness. Thousands of innocent people are being scammed. Look at the uniform shaped andara pendants then search "crystal faceted drop" or "mixed crystal glass pendants" they are one and the same. The fraud isn't limited to Ebay. Search the net for Andara Crystals. Search Youtube for andara crystals. PLEASE HELP GET THIS INFORMATION OUT! People buying these pieces of slag glass are doing it for many types of healing as the sellers promise MANY results.

Thanks for the info. This is so sad - the proliferation of lies by people selling these, the gullible people or people with desperate medical problems that buy these. Anything to make a buck, I guess.

12th Apr 2013 17:16 UTCDoug Daniels

OH NO! You mean these things are fake???? Gosh, I was going to build a house using these instead of bricks....

12th Apr 2013 21:09 UTCYamael

Don't be surprised if they try to sell one that will build the house FOR you lol

Please, spread the word though. A lot of people are falling for this "powerful crystal" :-S

12th Apr 2013 21:14 UTCYamael

They are making a "buck". A 34 gram piece sells for $26-$188 on average. Some have paid over $3,000 for one piece. If only research for ANY and ALL products promising better health and well being would come BEFORE the purchase :-(

13th Apr 2013 12:39 UTCMark Gottlieb

As an experienced glassblower, I can tell you its just cullet glass. But most of you already know this.

13th Apr 2013 13:27 UTCYamael

Yes, it is cullet glass. The Ebay sellers I listed are, for a fact, selling the slag glass. All selling the SAME glass, from each other. I'm just trying to do the right thing now.

13th Apr 2013 17:31 UTCEugene & Sharon Cisneros Expert

Most of the people that buy this stuff want to believe that it belies laws of physics. If you were to try to dissuade them, they would remonstrate your reasoning. Remember the old adage; a fool and his money are soon parted. Besides, it’s good for the economy! :-D

Whether it is slag glass or a quartz crystal it is all the same as far as healing or whatever goes. As such I am not sure what the issue is here? If it were a natural glass would that make it any better in terms of what is claimed it can do? It all comes down to the power of suggestion, if you believe red socks will help the arthritis on your feet then they likely will to some degree simply on the basis of mind over matter. If you believe that Authentic Monatomic Andara Crystals will help you then they probably will to some degree, it really doesn't matter if they are slag glass or not. It is no different than Q-Ray bracelets or any number of mysterious healing things that have been sold throughout history. It is unfortunate that people are willing to pay so much for something that is no better than a rock off the beach.

Yes, this is all true. The harm here is that price + false claims (product, certification of authenticity, location, etc.) = Fruad = Scam = A business built on corruption = Each scammer should have to pay all of the monies back to every single customer and deal with the punishment the law deems sufficient.

Indeed.

Why the crystal power criminals aren't being hounded by the DEA, FBI, IRS, INS, and Homeland Security I'll never understand.

I'd like to see the people writing and flogging the crystal power books arrested and perp-walked in handcuffs out of every show they sneak into.

Fraud is fraud, but I guess some kinds of crime are more important than others to the powers that be.

I'm still trying to figure out the "monatomic" part - a single atom? Did they maybe mean to use "monotonous" instead?

15th Apr 2013 00:18 UTCEugene & Sharon Cisneros Expert

Tim,

This really isn’t any different than any other “snake oil” that promises to erase wrinkles or make you better endowed. Though we know that these things don’t work, it would be very difficult to prove in court of law. How much money would it cost to scientifically disprove them? You can add psychics, channelers, dowsers and a host of others to the list. I’m guessing, but I’ll bet that the fraud laws have some unwritten threshold for the use of common sense, below which you are out of luck.

Cheers,

Gene

15th Apr 2013 00:51 UTCReiner Mielke Expert

Hello Doug,

Maybe monatomic in this case is meant to mean only one type of atom or molecule? In other words another way of saying pure? ie monatomic water is pure H2O? and in this case pure slag. Besides monatomic sounds more mysterious and important than just "pure". LOL

15th Apr 2013 19:45 UTCTim Jokela Jr

Gene;

Common sense is far from common. I seem to recall that about 60% of Americans believe in angels.

A six year old can devise a simple double-blind test to debunk all this crystal power nonsense.

It is simple fraud, perpetrated by scum that target people that are sick.

America has unlimited funds to "protect" it's citizens by by vigilantly persecuting them for truly minor crimes, like smoking weed, or parking illegally, or putting up a fence that's a foot too high.

Yet the seething underbelly of psychics, alternative medicine, organized religion, telemarketers, and other dirtbags, defrauding the gullible for billions every year, goes untouched.

Priorities are a little confused it seems.

15th Apr 2013 20:01 UTCDoug Daniels

Reiner-

Think I've got it. Instead of "monatomic", they meant "monotonic", which means single tone, or, loosely, single frequency. Obviously its related to the chakra and the color frequency and the tooth spacing and the spacing of the Ley lines across the planet....I have to pull out my old quantum physics textbook, calculus text, old issues of Rolling Stone, and related internet postings to figure out the relationship.

15th Apr 2013 21:25 UTCYamael

Doug, you don't have to waste your time on that. It is said that the andara crystal is found under white powder residue from unicorns' horns rubbing together in play. (lol) If you don't buy that story, the all-knowing guy that sells these crystals in Hawaii says that they aren't made out of "anything", they "fell from the sky".

Speaking of Homeland Security, Rod Tyson recently sent me, or more accurately is sending me a shipment of Gormanite specimens from the Yukon. He lives in Nova Scotia and the shipment was seized and held by Homeland Security because the specimens were not marked Made in Canada, or Product of Canada. I got a call from a nice lady from Homeland Security/Customs saying she might be able to release the shipment if I could send them a copy of the label I proposed to put on each specimen. Transparently some or all of the functions of the customs people have been taken over by the Department of Homeland Security. I sent them one of our normal labels showing the name of the species and a complete locality Rapid Creek, Dawson Mining District, Yukon Territory, Canada. Linda got back to me saying that was not good enough because also on the label was the name and address of our company and that people might mistake the specimen as being made by my company and that people had the right to know where it came from. She agreed to release it "In Bond" and when It arrived I had to fill out paper work stating that I had labeled the specimens correctly and send them back to Homeland Security and I must withhold the specimens from sale till Homeland Security gave us a release and that they reserved the right to send out an inspector to insure that this had been done.

I told her that the specimen was not really a product of Canada because it had been made millions of years ago by natural geochemical processes that took place in the earth long before there was even a political entity called Canada. She said that made no difference. Then I asked her. If this specimen came from a phosphate mine where most of these specimens are ground up and processed into chemicals for industrial use and those chemicals were shipped into this country to be made into various products, how would the customers who bought the products know that they were buying something that was made in Canada or were a product of Canada. She didn't have an answer for that one. But the law is the law and those who enforce it don't have a whole lot of choice about how it is enforced.

If she ever came to the Tucson Gem and Mineral show and saw the vast quantities of goods there from other parts of the world, and how few of them were labeled with their country of origin she would probably have a heart attack. Every time, I as an importer think I have been subjected to every possible problem and indignity that it is possible for an importer to experience, at least once a year I am given some new hoop to jump through.

This glass is definitely slag glass! I should know. I've been selling to a woman whom I just found out is reselling it as authentic andara crystals. Some colors NOBODY has but me. The King of Solomon or King Solomon especially. The red seafoams. It has jut been brought to my attention that this is what is being done with my glass. No more though. I will NOT sell to anyone who wants to call it anything other than what it is...GORGEOUS SLAG GLASS from a glass pile. The person I sell to did tell me she then sells my glass to others, but I didn't know I was a major supplier to this scam! I'm pi$$ed! Amanda,

A scam is a scam. It doesn't matter if you do it with a smile on your face or not. It is still a scam. If a scammer takes money up front to put a new roof on your house then disappears and never puts the roof up; then he is still a scammer that took your money with a smile on his face and a few sample boards, nails, and shingles in the yard. It isn't algebra where to negatives make a positive. I see that you sell crystals and by your words, other "pagan" items. You have some beautiful crystals on your site.

I recall reading in a previous mindat thread what "monatomic" is supposed to mean. Bear with me while I try to paraphrase what I remember.....

It is supposed to refer to a new state of matter, in which atoms of an ordinary element do not bind to each other or anything else, and form a mass that does not have the ordinary properties of the normal solid element. Hence a blob of glass slag can really be monatomic anything! It could be gold, but look (and test) like glass! With magical properties!

I don't do emoticons, but whatever the one that means sarcasm goes here.

How much money do you owe your scammed customers? What made you "see the light"? I think it's a good thing that you are coming clean, but I have a feeling it is somehow coerced. Perhaps you should inform ebay of this scam so they can shut it down....since that is the major distribution site.

People are buying the "crystals" as a means of healing. Neither crystals or the "crystals" can physically provide that. Let people spend their money how they wish, because neither is money well spent if you look at it from the "what you gain phisically" angle! However, both are well worth it if it gives the person peace of mind (mental healing). Regardless, it really doesn't matter, so long as the seller and buyer are happy... just don't forego medical treatment hoping a crystal will do the trick. :-)

Andara Crystals

18th May 2013 12:19 UTCandarasucker

As someone that has bought Andara Crystals this is what I have to say

I bought some slag glass recently and compared samples with a microscope and they are very similar. I noticed most of the stuff sold as "Andaras" tend to be "clean" and have very little bubbles but I expected something was weird when I started seeing "swirls" of other colors and flat polished surfaces on some. Stephenmanz was smart in the beginning to make sure there were no impurities or flat surfaces so it would look like a piece of quartz hence the name "crystal" but then he started getting lazy or greedy and started sending me "freebies" that looked like shards on tiny broken glass which raised my suspicion...

I always bought them as a meditational tool because the certain colors helped me during meditation to focus on specific Chakras and light therapy has been used dating back to ancient Egypt I even wrote a paper on Light therapy in my Psychology class in college pointing out the medical claims and benefits. I also despite the "implosion story I was told" always assumed they were man made with maybe the monoatomic powder thus containing all those properties mentioned and the story was just part of the mystery of the Andaras which made it intriguing as a buyer. I looked up past auctions of what Stephen Manz was buying and he was always buying large quantities of chemical related stuff which further made me believe they were man made rock crystals with monoatomic powder. Based on my research monoatomic powder is debatable about wether it works or not...

Now that this scam has been revealed I have an idea how I'm going to put these guys out of business. I'm going to buy it the same way they do, mark it down significantly to about $3-4 a piece list it as monoatomic andara and simply say that these are excellent light therapy tools... further more i'm going to try to get my money back legally... Thanks for all the info you've given me in regards to this.

Wish I had a transcript of that video (or could download it so I could do that). He sure talks a good story. Also talks of the area where those things are supposed to be found - they are like meteorites, so it must be a strewn field. Must also be pretty large, or there's an awful lot of those things on/in the ground, considering the sizes and quantities of material available for sale. Of course, at the end, he does mention "the golden I don't know". (Were Abbott and Costello in that video somewhere?)

18th May 2013 17:58 UTCCaren

Andarasucker-

looking at an "andara" or plain slag glass under a "microscope" is not going to confirm or deny that you have a monatomic andara. You need equipment that can test for rare earth trace minerals. If those are present that is the unique signature that monatomic minerals ARE present. Nothing can test for monatomics at this time. I have a lot of true andara and I get every piece I buy tested to be sure it is legit. I can get yours tested for you if you'd like to see if there is in fact gold, silver etc contained within it.

But to throw the baby out with the bath water because you peeked at it under a microscope is unfortunate as that isn't going to tell you squat.

18th May 2013 22:08 UTCandarasucker

recent correspondence with Stephen Manz ->>

There are no worries you got the real ones. People like Andaralady who are greedy are the ones who make Andara look very bad and it is a shame, these negative people will have to deal with the karma and that must likely what happened with Andaralady and now she try's to cover herself by saying everybody just like her when she was the only one selling the fake in the first place and I could tell right from the start this lady scamming everybody and causing bad name for Andara which is very wrong of her. I'm sure her karma is not very good right now. I on the other hand have very good karma because I will never sell a fake even if I was starving & my life depended on ripping somebody off. I sell to many reiki healers and all are very happy with purchase and use andara as healing tools.

-----------------

He then further goes on and says...

This is the words from lady Nellie herself the first person to discover andara on her land high in the sierras of California .

The Andoran 'Crystals are healing stones and they're prayer stones. They bring love to each other. The stone transfers the love and has gathered many, many people together all over the world. They've brought children together and old folks together with love. The stones separate out the non-believers. If a fellow don't believe in the stone, he won't buy it. If he aint got faith in God, he won't buy the stone. The way the Andoran ' Crystals deliver is through love. The love comes from the heart of the person and is connected to the power of the Great Spirits. They come from mother earth and God and their exact location will not be revealed for the very cause of the destruction of the people that doesn't believe . Every Andara comes from the earth and the important thing is I've blessed each and every stone that comes to me.

Andara Crystals – Metaphysical Miracle or ?

Written by Øm- Mark

Aloha Everyone,

Over the years I have been asked about the origins of Andara crystals. I have also heard the following claims:1-4.

1. Andara crystals are just slag glass.

2.Andara crystals are just glass that has been charged with Reiki or other energies.

3.Andara crystals are just another metaphysical hoax.

the newest claim 4.The Monatomic nature of Andara crystals is just a marketing tool.

I have written about these crystals for over a decade now, and have had these opinions from all walks of people who have not done their homework.

I have had this question asked many times on whether or not Andara crystals were slag glass.

Based on extensive research, including interviews of both light workers and scientists who have been to the site, over 10 years of testimonials from new age practitioners to degreed professionals to ordinary people, as well as personal experiences, the definitive answer is no.

I also know many Reiki Masters and practitioners who work with Andara crystals, and not one of them has ever said that the energy of the Andara crystals is the same as Reiki energy.

Over time it has become quite clear that Andara crystals represent a new and unique energy frequency, unequaled in its potentials and possibilities.

With all of the above as my foundation and platform to speak from, Andara crystals are not a hoax.

Continued info from mark: As to the newest claim, prior to my findings, and the article I wrote in 2002, the monatomic origin of Andara crystals was unknown.

As a crystal dealer, and to better serve my customers, I took it upon myself to find out the true origins of the Andara crystal’s unexplained properties. The rest is history.

Like the internal crystalline structure of quartz explains their amplification qualities, the discovery that the actual nature of Andara crystals is based in their monatomic metallic origins.

That nature was confirmed when soil taken from the site tested positive for the presence of monatomic elements.

With that said, people will still be people with their own opinions and claims. The real question is, “What is the basis or foundation that supports their claims?”

As relevant today as it was 2500 years ago, the “Kalama Sutta” by the Buddha sheds the light of wisdom to the discernment of what to believe and applies not only to spiritual teachings, but everyday life.

Kalama Sutta

The people of Kalama asked the Buddha who to believe out of all the ascetics, sages, venerables, and holy ones who, like himself, passed through their town. They complained that they were confused by the many contradictions they discovered in what they heard. The Kalama Sutta is the Buddha’s reply.

Do not believe anything on mere hearsay.

Do not believe in traditions merely because they are old and have been handed down for many generations and in many places.

Do not believe anything on account of rumors or because people talk a a great deal about it.

Do not believe anything because you are shown the written testimony of some ancient sage.

Do not believe in what you have fancied, thinking that, because it is extraordinary, it must have been inspired by a god or other wonderful being.

Do not believe anything merely because presumption is in its favor, or because the custom of many years inclines you to take it as true.

Do not believe anything merely on the authority of your teachers and priests.

But, whatever, after thorough investigation and reflection, you find to agree with reason and experience, as conducive to the good and benefit of one and all and of the world at large, accept only that as true, and shape your life in accordance with it.

The same text, said the Buddha, must be applied to his own teachings.

Do not accept any doctrine from reverence, but first try it as gold is tried by fire.

Gautama Buddha

This applies to me also, only through your own investigation will you know the truth.

Blessings & Light

Caren -

I'm a believer in metaphysical subtle energies and a crystal collector myself... Like I mentioned before I only started becoming suspicious when then Andaras had flat polished surfaces and traces of other colors was embedded into them. I bought some slag glass to compare the difference between quartz, andara and slag glass. On the surface the crystalline structure is much finer in Andaras when compared to regular quartz, which made me believe that Andara's was a silica material like quartz, It's as if the Andaras are like a super processed power crystal which I believed may have contained some Piezo Electricity qualities, however when I compared the Slag Glass to Andara's upon the surface they were exactly the same. Compiling all the information in this thread and based on my own findings I assesed that these Andaras are fraudulent and is prob an elaborate scam that has several Andara buyers from all over the world in it together staging fake conflict amongst other sellers to make it look real...

19th May 2013 00:23 UTCandarasucker

another thing too is if Andaras are real crystals why are there bubbles present? Every crystal I own does not have one bubble in it unless it's an enhydro. Andaras claim to be a type of obsidian I have never seen any obsidian that contains bubbles.... People that sell Andaras have an answer for this though Andara sellers claim that the bubbles is something called "blue needles" This scam is very well thought out and I believe is aimed for the uneducated scientifically inclined metaphysical folks

def of Blue Needles >>>

I am hoping that most of the above discussion is tongue in cheek but I may be disappointed. I no longer argue spiritual concepts with anyone. I have a massive problem with those who try to dress up their arguments with borrowed scientific language. The words "crystal", "energy", 'monatomic", etc. have precise scientific definitions and I resent those who use such terms to dress up spiritual beliefs in scientific jargon, especially in a forum such as this. Please make up your own words.and definitions. Sorry but someone touched a nerve, much as a dentist sometimes does while drilling.

Andarasucker,

I just got the EXACT same emails from Stephen Manz. EXACT. I have been patiently trying to inform others of what is going on here and insist that there is NO POSSIBLE WAY that "new" andara colors are popping up out of "sacred" ground at the same time I am getting the identical color variations from a glass dump (above ground). One person even said to me "People are trying to copy andaras now". I told her it is impossible for a glass factory to "copy an andara" as it is nothing more than garbage to them. I recently listed some glass on Ebay as "non Andara Crystal Pendant" with andara vs. slag glass information to get the word out. I have made quite a few major andara sellers aware that their glass came from me (unintentionally on my part). Some are shocked, but to tell the truth, Dorene is the only one who has stopped selling so far. Oddly (to me anyway), they go back and quote Mickey Magic as if that solves the entire debate. WHO stands to lose the most money? He is the kingpin. He HAS some glass that came from me. He sells them as crystals. Through Erica Rock, I offered him to have his "crystals" tested against my slag glass in any form, any time...he wasn't interested. However, Erica DID test my glass with expensive equipment and I quote her as saying to me "But your glass was tested and it was the EXACT SAME as the andaras!" I told her that is because it IS the exact same; it is glass from glass factories. The end.

Andarasucker,

Based on informative, detailed explanations about the "air bubbles" in the "andara crystals", they are human spirits trapped in there and if you pay CLOSE attention, they will MOVE! For goodness sakes! If you sum up the information out there, this is what happened...Andaras fell from the sky and are made from nothing. You can find them under the ground where white powder is present. This white powder is residue from unicorns horns rubbing together in play. The end.

As if it isn't bizarre enough to read about, he posted videos about it on Youtube.

If possible, is there a way for you to contact me without me putting my personal info on here?

LMAO. They should have Mark Nea holding one of the bunnies lol

I was speaking with Erica Rock about a lot of her "andaras" coming from me (she purchased them from Dorene), and she was on fire about it. She truly thought they were from "sacred land". She got off of the phone with me and called Mark Nea. We then talked again and she said that he was going to get back to her on exactly where his andaras came from. haha, I know. I said, "Erica, that would be like me having to tell you I would get back to you on information about my son. He is my life. He is 3 years old and I can tell you everything about him." I went on to tell her that there is absolutely no way that he would have to find out and get back to her, that this stuff is his life, his business, and that what he really needed was time to collaborate a story with Mickey.

Its the same old low grade criminal behavior that is typical of all snake oil salesmen for the last ten thousand years. There will always be enough people who want to believe in magic to keep these guys in business.

Rock

I think it goes back longer than ten thousand years ;-)

Really old bad habbits are even harder to break !

There is no mystery behind the andara and no sacred land for it to be found on if you ask me. In my opinion, Nellie found a buried glass dump. I can well imagine her surprise probably never having seen or heard of the stuff before. The rest of the story is too absurd to comprehend.

A couple of things mentioned in this conversation about a silica substance similar to quartz. since glass is primarily melted silica sand it would stand to reason that it is a quartz like substance. secondly it was mentioned that it could be tested for traces of silver or gold as some kind of proof of real Andara. Most all glass has some sort of metal additive either to clear it of color it. Silver and gold are pretty commonly used to color glass.

Are...are you guys serious? I really truly can't tell if you guys actually believe this stuff. In my world I'll occasionally put together a paragraph of buzzwords that don't mean anything for a laugh - "utilizing synergy to create interactive sustainable vector paradigms" and all that. I'm also vaguely aware that people believe in crystal healing - it's silly to me but whatever. But this is a new aspect to me - the depth and complexity, the jargon, the unverified and unverifiable claims stacked one on top of another. Is it really possible for someone to claim fraud _from within_ the crystal healing world? I bought your crystal to align my chakras and it didn't work? Just...wow. I'm not sure I can process this.

If everyone here would go to Ebay and report these scammers and their listings, it would likely end the biggest part of this scam.
