Mineral ShowsSan Francisco Golden Gateway to Gems 2013

7th Aug 2013 15:38 BSTBarb Matz

Hi All,

The San Francisco Gem & Mineral Society's annual show is coming soon! We've moved it to a later date this year - August 24 and 25 - and we're back at our former venue in Golden Gate Park, the SF County Fair Building (previously known as the Hall of Flowers). Our theme this year is Heavy Metals and about 1/3 of our exhibits will feature this theme. Besides our own club members, we'll have several guest exhibitors from Bay Area Mineralogists and the San Francisco Crystal Gazers, so there will be plenty of good mineral specimens on display. We'll also have about 30 dealers, demonstrations, and a mineral quest for kids. Mineral Wines will be a part of our show this year, and will be featured at a Wine Tasting / Live Auction event Saturday evening at the venue. If you are in the area, be sure to stop by - we know you will enjoy the show!
