It think it would highly unlikely that there would be any mineral related clubs or organizations there. You might even be hard pressed to find a geologist in a local school. Is there anything resembling a university there? If so there might be a department of earth science, perhaps a department of environment that might have a geologist you could contact and ask questions off.

The evaporite pans, and the bat guano, might be the only places to find a mineral other than calcite.

The beach sand has aragonite ooids.

AIUI, The Turks and Caicos are very low-lying coral and limestone islands. Minerals of interest are likely to be buried treasure or on galleon wrecks ;-)
