The TL of sederholmite, kullerudite and wilkmanite is Kitka River Valley, Kuusamo Northern Finland Regio, Finland. See:

Vuorelainen, Y., Huhma, A. & Häkli,A. 1964. Sederholmite, wilkmanite, kullerudite mäkinenite and trüstedtite, five new nickel-selenide minerals. Bulletin de la Commission Géologique de Finlande 215, 113-125 and C.R. Soc. Géol. Finlande Vol 36, p.113-125, illus.

I don't see a mention of Kitka River valley in the type description, just the more general area.

They are in the same article as mäkinenite and trüstedtite with Kitka River Valley as TL. I found preliminary report of the occurrence: Vuorelainen, Yrjö 1962. Tutkimusselostus Kuusamon Juuma-Säkkilän albitiittikiviin liittyvien U-aiheiden malmimineraaliseurueesta. Vuorelainen, Yrjö 1962. Outokummun aineistot 070/4613/YV/62. Juuma-Säkkilä albitite is in Kitka River Valley.

Kitkaite occurs in same samples with mäkinenite and trüstedtite, see Häkli & al. 1965. Kitkaite (NiTeSe), a new mineral from Kuusamo, Northern Finland. The American Mineralogist 50 (5-6), 581-586. In Vuorelainen , Yrjö 1962 Outokumpu

report all these Se-minerals occur together (without names). In the Vuorelainen et al 1965 article the TL of sederholmite, wilkmanite, kullerudite, mäkinenite and trüstedtite is Kuusamo. The TL of kitkaite is Kitka River Valley. These six minerals

occur only in one place in Finland. Kitka River Valley is the TL of these six mineral (the name Juuma-Säkkilä is no longer used). In Hytönen, K.1999 Suomen mineraalit. The TL is Kitka River Valley.

In this case the published, international type descriptions just refers to an area (Kuusamo), but other finnish sources ( Vuorelainen (1962) ; Hytönen (1999)) pinpoint the TL to calcite veins in albitite in the Kitka River Valley.

Thanks for the info, Ilka.
