Mineral ShowsSeattle Mineral Market 2015

Does anyone have the dates for next year's Seattle Mineral Market? Thanks!

Hi Gary,

I don't have the date yet but will check and see if a date is set in stone. I attended my first SMM last year and had a great time and picked up many excellent pieces and hope to make it again next year.

Hi Dana. Thanks for replying. We are planning a trip to visit family in Seattle next year and would like to combine the two. We are also thinking about a possible collecting trip in the area while we are there. Anyone have any suggestions? Gary

I believe the dates are May 16 & 17, 2015, but I have not verified this yet.

go on facebook and contact Bart Cannon..he is planning to help make it a more organized venture and I am sure he knows the correct dates and would be most willing to help you..

Hi Gary,

Bart has the show listed as May 15-17 but the show officially opens on Saturday the 16th. There is some wheeling and dealing between the dealers and volunteer help the night of set up on the 15th. With free admission and parking it is a no brainer! Lots of good and unusual rocks too and very interesting and friendly collectors---I hope to make it again next year.

As of some time around 7:15 this morning, a message [appearing to come from Jasun Light Cosgrove]

was sent out on facebook, saying that the mineral market was cancelled. For any and all who may have received this message...IT IS NOT TRUE. I am not sure what happened, but please disregard this message and contact Bart Cannon or myself, if there is any confusion in your mind around the market actually taking place. Bart just left a few minutes ago to sign the contract with the community center where the show is located, and assures me that there is no cancellation in effect. I will definitely be there and look forward to you all showing up too.

Jason was just erasing previous years' Facebook invitations for Seattle Mineral Market - not cancelling this year's event. It caused some confusion.
