Mineral ShowsBethelMaine Show

9th Jul 2015 20:59 UTCken briggs (2)

I am horribly late at posting this, but this weekend (July 11 and 12) is the Oxford County Gem & Mineral Association,s 54th annual show. It isat Telstar High School on Route 26 in Bethel,Maine. Hours are: Sat 10-5,(field trip to the Tamminen Quarry) Sun 10-4 (field trip to Mt.Mica) Under 12 free, otherwise $3 admission. Hourly door prizes, continuous silent auction, 17 dealers, lots of nice stuff. Grand Door Prize is a suite of 3 terminated and 1 faceted Havey Mine Tourmalines, kindly donated by Jeff Morrison. There will be some incredible displays. Food will be available. The weather forcast looks good and there are many worse places to be than Bethel in the summer.
