GeneralLooking for Thumbnail Flats

9th Aug 2019 00:33 BSTSteve Hardinger Expert

I am looking for a company that sells these very nice boxes which I use for thumbnails. The box itself is 16 3/4 x 11 1/4 x 2 inches (42.5 x 28.6 x 5.1 cm). It holds exactly 80 'perky' (one inch cube) plastic thumbnail boxes, with just enough room to easily extract the perkies but not so much that they rattle around. I suspect the supplier is an English company because I learned of these boxes from UK Mining Ventures.

Not sure if this will help, but I go to BJ's and scavenge their boxes.  Some fit nicely so one can have a top and a bottom (e.g.: nilla wafers and hellman's mayo; prego sauce and 4-C drink mix).  They are usually taller than I need, so I cut them down; sometimes they need reinforcing at the corners (elmer's glue).  "Some assembly required," but the price is right.

Good luck.

Thanks, but not what I am looking for. UK Mining Ventures tells me the flats I want are custom made for them.

Hi Steve.
The Jewellery industry uses boxes similar to what you are looking for, maybe search for jewelry packing and supplies, whether or not they will have the size you want, who knows, but you may be able to track down a manufacturer.

Long story short... The exact boxes I want are custom made and unavailable to the general public.
