GeneralMineral Pixel ART!

Hi everyone!  I'm currently a Graphic Design student, but I like to make all kinds of art in my (small amount of) free time, including pixel art!  By no means am I a pixel art master, but I like to think I'm improving.

Tonight I spent an hour making a pixel art rendition of one of my favorite pieces of my collection, a Smoky + Amazonite combo from the Smoky Hawk Claim, Teller Co., Colorado.

I'll keep this thread updated if I make any more pixel art! Maybe I'll even make some pixel art of other people's specimens.

Thanks for looking :-)

Excellent!

As someone who grew up using the original Deluxe Paint series in a time when almost all computer graphics was pixel art, this is something I truly enjoy.

Vivianite, based on my Huanuni Mine specimen.  This one was especially fun to render.

Would like to see a tourmaline!

That would be a fun one!  Let me know if there's a specific specimen of yours you'd like to see drawn :-)

Here is a 'rainbow' Obsidian, someone else's specimen that they commissioned me to draw for them!  I had a lot of fun with the different layers of colors.

Attempted my Cavansite and Stilbite specimen!  This one was tricky, I might revisit it in the future.

Very cool renditions!!  This totally brings me back to my NES days!!  I was a kid during the 80's and this brings back some really fond memories!!  Thanks for sharing Tama!!
