Was thinking of trying a crack at Hansen Creek sometime in early July (here is a video: This will be my first time rock hounding so I was hoping others might want to tag along and share the treasure so I can learn how to do this sort of thing on my own. If anyone is interested please pm..also any advice is always appreciated. Happy diggings all!

For anyone that responds, I wouldn't get upset about the vague name; they are in the chatroom tonight and seem very reasonable and friendly. They stated that they just don't like giving out a real name in this setting because of a couple bad experiences they've had on the net. (tu)

Gem Carver, make sure and purchase the appropriate forest dept. use permits and carry the instruction pamphlet on collecting. I was up there last summer and it looks like a battlefield with holes under tree roots and tarps over digs. good luck and be safe.
