PhotosNow user gallery, but was in public gallery?

16th Feb 2020 15:35 GMTDavid Carter

Just wondering why this specimen is ‘user gallery only’ now. It was previously in the public galleries, however when I changed the three existing photos to three infinitely better ones (in my humble opinion, clearer, better focused, more true to likeness) and I ticked the ‘in my collection’ box from ‘previously in my collection’ box, the item then reverted to awaits approval and has now been relegated to ‘user gallery only’? They were the only changes I made and the specimen is still the same one.

It’s not the end of the world I know, but I was just trying to improve things from a visual perspective. If the result is seemingly a backward step then I will perhaps leave things as they are next time, which is not really the way forward for Mindat!

Let me check the 167 other images here on Mindat.
Be back soon.

Thanks Paul, you’re comments do make me smile sometimes ;-)

There is no rush, but I will be waiting with eager anticipation - clocks ticking!

I'm back.
I checked the 167 mimetite images and have send 17 of the blurryiest images to user gallery.
The reason why I have put your image there is that, in my humble opinion, it showed a little blurry too, sorry.
Third time, good time ? Thank you.

No problem Paul, now all edited and re-submitted for consideration and approval hopefully, fingers crossed.

As you state third time, good time (as it was the first time round when initially approved)!
