21st Feb 2020 20:11 GMTJeffrey Morrison

The New England Mineral Association will hold its 8th annual Conference at Sunday River Grand Summit Lodge in Newry, Maine on May 15-17, 2020. 2020 also marks the 200th anniversary of the discovery and mining of tourmaline in Maine. Also note that the Maine Mineral and Gem Museum in Bethel is now open for tours.
May 15 will kick off with Education Day for grades 3-12 from 9am - 1pm (and possible adult field trips-tbd), then a Friday evening banquet, awards, and speakers. Saturday will feature a full day of speakers and two auctions. Exhibits, dealer's wing, and hospitality suites are available throughout the conference. Look for optional field trips on Sunday the 17th. www.nemineral.org or our Facebook page for more information. We'd love to have you join us!
Contact Jan Morrison: nemineralinfo@gmail.com or 207.956.2862, or Jeff Morrison: haveyquarry@gmail.com or 207.232.4973 with questions. NOTE: these are corrected dates. (we had been slated for May 8-10, but have needed to move the conference to May 15-17th).
