Improving Mindat.orgLaitakarite formula

The photos show a different formula, for example https://www.mindat.org/photo-5805.html than the homepage for it, https://www.mindat.org/min-2313.html

All photos use the IMA formula by default, while the mineral pages use the Mindat formula at the top (yes, it's an inconsistency).

No, it's not as simple as that. Minerals have a 'cached' formula that is used for the photos and other places. You need to go and edit the mineral and save it (without changing anything) and it will fix it so that the photos are shown with the right formula.

Thanks for the clarification. So simple cache clearing doesn't help? (I think I had tried it in this case.)

This example seems to be the opposite case of Laitakarite, in that the photo formulas match the IMA formula?

https://www.mindat.org/min-4264.html

The home page shows both the Mindat and IMA formula.

According to that page the photos match the IMA formula unlike Laitakarite which matches the Mindat formula.

Anyway why is the Mindat formula different from the IMA formula? I thought the Mindat formula defaulted to the IMA formula or has that changed? Actually as far as I am concerned I think the Mindat formula should be different if it is found that the IMA formula is incorrect and the photos should be tied to the Mindat formula.
