GeneralMaking 'adding photos' easier and faster: a suggestion...

Hi Jolyon,

First of all congratulations with the new layout for adding photos into the Mindat's database. An advantage is that you don't have to retype everthing when an error was made by inputting a locality or a mineral name. Searching for the correct information in the huge database is very fast, fantastic!

For the copyright and usage section you must enter everytime, for every photo (in my case), the same information... A lot of typing ...-)

Isn't it possible to automate this? In the past it looked up for this information by typing the first caracter.

Hi Jolyon,

Indeed a fantastic job and congratulations with the new layout.

Still, there maybe went something wrong with the counter of the pics charged.

Take for instance http://www.mindat.org/loc-15903.html, the counter tells you there is 1 image, actually there are 372 of them. Probably a little bug in the counter.

Nevertheless, a great job anyway.

Fantastic Jolyon! This is certainly an improvement.

However... the copyright URL isn't remembered :--)

It took a while but I have added some photos to my homepage. Yesterday it wouldn't let me, but today it would. Go figure!
