Named in honor of Jean-Charles-Philippe-Joseph Delvaux de Fenffe (25 July 1782, Rochefort, Belgium - 14 November 1863, Houyet, Belgium), chemist and professor at the University of Liège (1817-1837), who first analyzed the material.
Grandfathered, but doubtful phase. A name applied to an ill-defined hydrous ferric phosphate. See also the related minerals Diadochite (amorphous) and Destinezite (triclinic).
