Morphology:
Crystals usually prismatic [0001]; also tabular on [0001]. Development usually distinctly hemimorphic. Crystals are occasionally barrel-shaped, or occur as parallel groups or rosettes. They can also occur as massive aggregates, lamellae or scaly crystals.
Twinning:
On {3034}, repeated as fourlings at times. Paramorphs of iodargyrite after miersite show a mimetic repeated twinning with iodargyrite [001] parallel to {111} of the original miersite.
