About Cancrinite GroupHide

A large, structurally complex group of alumosilicates.

In the structure there are large channels closed by 12-membered tetrahedra rings. The channels are surrounded by cages set in columns. In the "cancrinite subgroup" the cages contain [Na(H2O)]+ clusters; in the "davyne subgroup" these are replaced by [CaCl]+ ones (Gatta & Lotti, 2016).
