About ShimazakiiteHide

Ca2B2-xO5-3x(OH)3x (x = 0~0.06)
3 OH partially replace 1 BO3 group.
Name:
Named in honor of Dr. Hidehiko Shimazaki (b. 1939), professor emeritus of Tokyo University, in recognition of his contributions to skarn mineralogy.
Compare also the closely related Datolite and its B-rich variety Bakerite.

Two polytypes (4M and 4O) are known.
