About Aeschynite GroupHide

Formula:
AD2O6
A = Y, REE,Ca, U, and Th.
D = Ti, Nb, and Ta
The aeschynite group consist of orthorhombic minerals with the general formula A2DO6, where the eight-fold coordinated A-site is occupied primarily by Y, REE, Ca, U, and Th, and the six-fold coordinated B-site is characterized by Ti, Nb, and Ta.
