Name proposed in 1998 by the IMA for the sodium-dominant equivalent of glauconite (Rieder et al, 1998). The previous similar name "soda-glauconite" was not named for a sodium-dominant member of the series and should not be used, except as a variety of glauconite, sensu strictu.
