Name:
Named in honor of Professor Antonio Della Giusta (University of Padova, Italy, born 1941), an expert on the crystal chemistry and cation order-disorder phenomena in spinel group minerals.
Structure determined. Interesting due to the occurrence of divalent vanadium (although likely not unique in this matter - compare sulvanite).
