Co-described with 8 other oxidic PGE minerals: UM1994-10-O:FeIrPtRh, UM1994-11-O:FeIrRh, UM1994-12-O:FePtRh, UM1994-14-O:FeIrPtRh, UM1994-15-O:FePt, UM1994-16-O:FePt, UM1994-17-O:FePt, and UM1994-18-O:FePtRh.

As a grain in chromitite, 80 x 30 microns in diameter. Associated mainly with Pt-Fe alloys cooperite, laurite; more rarely with bowieite, malanite, and cuprorhodsite.

Brownish gray (similar to that of chromite) in reflected light; isotropic.

Microprobe analysis (mean of seven datapoints), wt.%: Ru 39.8, Mn 10.9, Fe 5.4, Ir 2.3, Rh 1.2, Os 1.0, Ni 0.5, Cu 0.5, Pd 0.2, Pt 0.2, Cr 0.2, 0 37.7, total 99.9, corresponding to (Ru0.52Mn0.27Fe0.12Ir0.02Rh0.01 Ni0.01)Σ0.95O3.05. The assumed valences are 6+ for Ir, Ru, Os, and Mn; 4+ for Pt, Pd, and Rh; and 3+ for Fe.
