Unnamed ([Ca-La]+[Al-Al-Mn] member of the Epidote Supergroup)

A material that is NOT an approved mineral species
This page is currently not sponsored. Click here to sponsor this page.
Formula:
(CaLa)(AlAlMn2+)O[Si2O7][SiO4](OH) or (CaLa)(AlAlMn3+)O[Si2O7][SiO4]O
Either the Ca-dominant analogue of androsite-(La) (and then belonging to the Allanite Group) or a member of the Åskagenite Group. If the latter is true, the mineral stands for the CaLaMn3+-analogue of åskagenite-(Nd).

Empirical formula: Ca1.00[(Ce0.14La0.11Nd0.09Sm0.03Pr0.02Eu0.02Yb0.01)Σ0.42Ca0.36Pb0.23]Σ1.01(Al0.62Fe0.38)Σ1.00Al1.00(Mn0.33Fe0.28Zn0.23Cu0.14)Σ0.98[(Si2.91Al0.09)Σ3.00O11](O,OН)2.
