After prof. Tomas Georgievich Petrov (b. 1931), Ph.D., for "his contributions to mineralogy and crystallography and (...) development of industrial technology of fabrication of jewelry malachite".
Chemically similar to saranchinaite and puninite. Interesting, i.a., in terms of NaCu separation / site occupancy.

In the structure there are, i.a., isolated [Cu2(SO4)8]12- clusters.
