Crystal System:
Monoclinic
The edenite minerals is defined as monoclinic amphiboles in the calcium amphibole subgroup with occupancy in the A position equal to or larger than 0,5 apfu (ANa+K+2Ca)≥0,5 apfu) and C(Al+Fe3++2Ti)≤0,5 apfu. The edenite minerals are defined by it's dominant element in the A position, C position and the W position.

There is a solid solution series between all the members in this series. The edenite end member is probably not stable without some Fe and F present.
