After the type locality of Freiberg, Saxony, Germany.
Tetrahedrite Group. Argentotennantite-Freibergite Series, and the Freibergite-Tetrahedrite Series. The Ag-dominant analogue of Tetrahedrite. Varieties with Ag below 4 atoms per formula unit should be called Ag-rich tetrahedrite.
